Our Knightdale, NC customer’s Schwinn elliptical had been making a popping noise recently, even though it was only a couple of years old.
When we visited them to diagnose the issue, we also found the handle bar arm was loose at the point of connection. Once we took it apart, we saw both plastic washers were broken. They were definitely what was causing the popping sound our customer had been experiencing.
For the repair, we replaced the washers, installed the handle (making sure to tighten it), and tested their machine again. The noise was gone and everything was in working order!
