On October 12, 2019, the Annual Run for Courage 5K took place at Spring-Ford High School in Royersford, Pennsylvania.
For the 9th year, The Run for Courage welcomed families and friends to enjoy the fresh air and walk or run a 3-mile route to support the Conor McKenna Foundation and Jake's Dragon Foundation. Jake and Conor fought pediatric cancer when they were 15 years old.
Each nonprofit aims to recognize their struggle and honor the community by providing a scholarship in Conor's name to Spring-Ford High School and funds for pediatric research in Jake's name.
This year, trophies and $25 gift cards were awarded to the top male and female finishers. Medals were also presented to the top three male and female runners of the following age brackets: 14 and Under, 15-19 years, 20-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60+ years.
