Washington state’s first Fitness Machine Technicians franchise is now open in the greater Puget Sound area! Mount Vernon residents Michael and Dawn Lee are the local owners who are ready to bring quality fitness equipment repair services to their community in the Pacific Northwest.
This husband-wife duo got their first taste of entrepreneurship by flipping houses part-time. The experience gave them the inspiration and motivation to open their own FMT franchise full-time, first starting in the Puget Sound area. In 2019, they plan to expand to Seattle and Olympia.
Both have valuable backgrounds that set the stage for success. Michael studied Aerospace Engineering at Embry Riddle University and got his Master’s in Business from Pepperdine University, leading him to a career as a Design Engineer with McDonnell Douglass and later as a Technical Sales Engineer with Boeing. Dawn studied Nutrition at Cornell University and continued her education at Kenmore’s Bastyr University. She has been running a part-time business of her own for the past 12 years teaching nutrition, yoga and reiki.
“Health and fitness have always been priorities in our lives,” says Dawn. “We couldn’t think of a better way to share our passion than by opening a business that allows us to help our very active community stay fit.”
