Fitness Machine Technicians is now serving the Windy City of Chicago, IL and its northwest suburbs! Local owner Berenice Carlson is excited to bring quality fitness equipment repair and maintenance services to her community.
Berenice’s family emigrated from Mexico City to Quad Cities, IL when she was eight. She is forever grateful of her parents’ decision to move to the U.S., where she had increased access to education and opportunity. She is proud to be both the daughter of immigrants and a female business owner.
“In a city that just elected its first mayor who is a woman of color, now more than ever, I’m thrilled to open my own business in Chicago,” says Berenice. When she found Fitness Machine Technicians, she knew it was the perfect fit.
Berenice has a Master’s in Public Health from Northern Illinois University and spent her career at AMITA Health. She started as a phlebotomist and eventually worked her way up to becoming the Associate Vice President of Customer Engagement and Population Health. She is also a member of the Chicago Foundation for Women and has served as an operations coordinator for medical mission trips to Central America for the past four years. Now she is ready to combine her passions for fitness, health and service with Fitness Machine Technicians.
“As a fitness enthusiast and traveler, it’s frustrating when you finally motivate yourself to head to the hotel gym, only to find equipment that does not work,” says Berenice. “My goal is to provide our area with the best maintenance and repair service in the area, and to give people peace of mind that their machines are working in top shape.”
